The HRB Cornish River trips are becoming very popular with the Helford River Tour being on top of most visitors ‘to do list‘ with its age old shoreline and historic past. The 90 minute Cornish river tour includes over a dozen historical points of interest along the Helford Estuary researched by local Cornish historian and free lance writer/blogger Elizebeth Dale. YOUR SEA TRUCK TEAM

The HRB River Boat team are a group of passionate and experienced people with over 150 years of marine experience. As professional boatmen we are all licenced along with all our watercraft but pride ourselves in giving our customers the best possible marine experience every time you board one of our river boats. We worked closely with Elizebeth Dale, a Cornish historian in researching all the Cornish locations we take you to on the river tour mixed with some of our own sea stories and knowledge on top. CHARGES & BOOKING

Due to the easterly winds in the Helford Estuary, general weather conditions and tide flow, there is little point in having an automated booking system. As such we ask our Cornish River Tours passengers to call us to make their booking with us directly where we can provide ‘live’ and accurate forecasts about your safe and enjoyable trip with us. With each booking, you will receive a full colour multi-page booklet detailing each step of the cornsih River Tour with HRB.

THE DYSON SEA TRUCK

The Rotork Sea Truck is a high-speed, flat-hulled watercraft co-invented by James Dyson and Jeremy Fry. Designed as a versatile landing craft, it was developed for Rotork Marine Ltd. in the 1970s as a low-cost, modular work boat. Dyson and Fry built the prototype together. HRB find it especially helpful in being able to land on a beach and simply push any wheelchair bound person on board once its huge door is opened flat to the floor. It is a wide hulled boat allowing free movement when on board. The See Truck can accommodate approx. 12 people per trip.

HELFORD PASSAGE

HRB Cornish River Tours is a division of Helford River Boats and is based in Helford Passage in Cornwall and own and runs the famous Helford Ferry which runs between Helford Passage and Helford Village on the opposite shoreline. HOW TO FIND US

HRB Cornish River Tours is based on the North Side of Helford Passage nestled in a quite corner of the beach. In today’s modern world, everyone uses a Sat Nav or their mobile phones to find a location of their choice. However, Helford Passage is directly south of Falmouth near Helston. When approaching Helford Passage from Mawnan Smith, you will take the road called Grove Hill Road which eventually becomes Helford Passage Road. This takes you to a sharp right turn with a smaller road leading straight on sign posted to Helford River Boats and the Ferry Boat Inn. Follow this for approx. half a mile and turn right into a small carpark. That’s it, you simply walk down the steep hill to the beach and we are there!
